Because, I was drawing before I was writing. Prepare to stare at my stuff. All the bits and bobs you can handle. I’m opening up now to show you what I’m working with.
But, first, my eyes are up here. Stare into my eyes…
“Gae-Brie-El”
It’s like a jumble of 3 languages that roughly means “The Happy Cheese.”
“GrOOn-BOUGH-mmm”
Like, grooming a horse, but with an N. — Like, the bough of a tree, with an M at the end. Delicious.

You know it’s said that beyond the final layer, is where you can finally meet your true self. Behind the masks, the stories you tell yourself, the obfuscation, the assumptions, the misinterpretations, the lies you’ve adopted to keep you warm at night, and the endless self-judgement, you wait for you to come to your rescue. Grab a chip and save yourself, big dipper.

The Floating Bar is such a fun project to work on. The pandemic had taken a toll on business so that when an unusually strong storm hit the region, there weren’t enough funds for repairs and the bar partially sank. Neighbors and patrons came to the rescue, helping to refloat and repair the bar! The community’s efforts demonstrated the love they had for their local watering hole and tourist destination. It reinvigorated the owners to keep pushing through adversity and today, it’s thriving! The Floating Bar doing better business than it ever has and welcomes visitors from around the world all year long, who mingle with the locals at their dedicated favorite spot. The good vibes are a result of the mutual love felt from every side.

The Baron
von Böneskull

von Böneskull is a playful boutique lifestyle brand that includes a lot of upscale athleisure offerings. Clothing, accessories,… even skateboards—von Böneskull has grown from its esports media roots to connect people from all walks who share common esthetics, boldly embracing the existential ride on this universal roller coaster. Development is underway to establish The Baron as the official mascot and logo (including a series of promotional animated shorts), so expect to see his mug on polos before too long.
Meantime, enjoy the wide range of designs from previous releases. And, if any of them catch your fancy, sometimes lines/designs get rereleased or the lines are expanded to include new offerings. As you’ll see here, designs are varied and “grimly playful” reminders to have fun!

Producer’s Vanity Card

For the Hollywood producer, the “vanity card” is the equivalent of a painter’s signature. Seeing their branding image at the end of a show allows the audience to say, “Hey, this is the same producer as that other show we liked!” It’s used at the beginning of movies so that you know that you’re in the right theater, “Yup. This is the producer I like. Everything they do is great! This is gonna be awesome!” A distinctive vanity card helps fans identify your work more easily.
I believe the above card is what ended up being used. As you can see, I like to provide a lot of options. Here are a couple that I liked in particular.

Both
Surf + Turf
(just above) and
Sparx & Spike
(here) are the working titles for these Copyrighted graphic novels in development.
While both creations are filtered through a sort of “punk rock” counter culture esthetic, misfits out to make a difference while struggling to understand the worlds they find themselves in, Surf & Turf has a tone similar to a 1960s spy or caper movie and Sparx & Spike is more of a moody 1980s supernatural fantasy. Comedy and action are the default coping mechanisms for both sets of heroes.

Hope you’ve enjoyed the eye-bashing you’ve put yourself through. I’ve been your graphic artist, Gabriel Grünbaum. I look forward to seeing you see me again.
